How to make your children love you
Go out and buy them a $10 used slide on craigslist, even if it doesn't fit in your car's trunk and you have to make the man you just bought it from tie it down for you. This will make your children happy and pleasant to be around.*

Yep a slide and sugary treat will brighten my day anytime--well, the sugary treat at least!
I think a slide is the FIRST PURCHASE we will make upon our move to NC. Maybe even before we buy a house! :)
PS - Steve makes his child happy by not making her go to bed until 10:30 because she "told me she wasn't tired" at 7:30. Uh huh --- guess who got to deal with that one the following day when daddy was on call.
